The Finding of the Cross ChapelThis is the place in which Helena, mother of Caesar Constantine, found the Cross in the year of 326 AD. Tradition tells us that Helena found three crosses: One of Jesus Christ, and the others two of the thieves that were crucified on his sides. Helena did not know which was Christ's cross. To identify the cross, she brought a baby who died recently, and touched him with the three crosses. WHen the baby touched Christ's cross, he rose from the dead. Today the cross is divided into many parts, spread around the world in many churches and cathedrals. |
